I used to keep wicket for the West Indies and I considered it a great privilege to have known Sir Gary both on and off the field. You know, we did lots of things together and I was very fortunate about that. We not only played cricket for Barbados in the West Indies, but we played golf and of course spent some time at the 19th hole. We often went fishing. I had a boat and he used to come fishing with me often. So it was a great privilege to have Sir Gary as my friend. He was a great cricketer, a great person and I shall remember him always.”
