As a fan of the game of cricket…mostly as an adult, Sir Garry will always be remembered as the cricketer who champions us West Indians towards the sport…growing up from a child and seeing my parents, uncles and neighbors tuning in on TV/radio and the excitement everyone felt from the joy of the game…to the man who had set the tone for us here in the region with hope of new recruits of a West Indies team for generations…I’m also glad I’ve had the opportunity to have met and serve him over the years in the hospitality circle, and the respect and admiration tourists felt being in his presence while on the job in the hotel’s sector…he’ll be forever missed by all of us…Rest In Peace Sir Garry!
