I consider it an honor to have met Sir G and a privilege to have played golf with him on several memorable occasions. A humble and incredibly generous man. Had I been unaware of his incredible achievements he would, I’m sure, not have mentioned them. A true legend. As a recently inducted proud citizen of Barbados I must remind myself how very lucky I am to have shared this beautiful Island with Sir Garfield Sobers. May he rest in peace. My family and I send deepest condolences to his family and to all Bajans as they mourn our National Hero.
