Over the years, I watched some of your innings online and was captivated by the style, elegance, and flair with which you played the game. You inspired generations and brought immense pride to Barbados and the entire cricketing world. I am especially proud to be from Barbados—the land where you were born, bred, and became a legend. Rest well, Sir Gary. I’m sure the cricketers in heaven will be honoured to welcome one of the greatest ever to play the game. Your legacy will live on forever.
