The year of my birth 1964 — But yet I feel as if I have heard the name Garfield Sobers all my young life – growing up Bajan where the Love of Cricket was the next level to the love of Calypso. Even as a young girl playing cricket with the boys in the district WE all wanted to emulate the swing and the run up of Garfield Sobers.. So YES Sir Garry was a household name we lived and loved.
